The 5 Bar family is more or less a middle ground between 4 and 6 bars. It has the benefit of some increased strength over the 4 bar system, while remaining a lower cost option over the 6 bar.
Standard bar spacing is 8-14-16-18-20-24, however, there are many variations available.

A necessary tool for any 1-1/8” contractor, the BT-10 is designed to snap off form ties with minimal effort.
The key feature is a special three-slot, alloy steel tool head--made from the same steel in fine chisels--carefully through-hardened to give it the wear resistance and toughness to strip many hundreds of foundations. Angled side slots make it easier to reach both high and low ties.

An Easy Way to Extend Your Forms
The Panel Clip and the Stacking Clip are thin, strong, steel clips for joining 1-1/8” plywood panels to other 1-1/8” stock (HC-112) or to 1-1/2” lumber (HC-150). Either clip gives you a quick, inexpensive way to pour a slightly higher wall with your existing form panels.

Steel Dog Stacking Plates are used to secure a tie at the joints between panels on the 1-1/8” plywood forming systems. Commonly used when stacking 4- or 5-bar panels between the successive courses.

Hinged clips connect panels at shallow angles
Steel Dog® Curved Wall Clips are a quick way to connect standard 1-1/8” filler panels together to form curved walls. By adjusting the widths of inner and outer filler panels (to keep opposing panel joints roughly aligned) curved walls of any radius, down to approximately 3ft, are possible.

A Rugged, Versatile Clamp for 1-1/8” Forming
TWC-450
Using the TWC-450 is the best way to secure a 2x4 to the top of your form panels for perfectly straight walls. Sets securely with a quick blow to the wedge, and strips just as easily.
Like all Steel Dog hardware, the TWC is designed and manufactured with the user in mind. Heavy-gauge steel, rounded corners, no sharp edges--the TWC is rugged and made to withstand years of heavy use.
WBW-4
The slotted end of the versatile WBW slips over a hex shoulder bolt anywhere on a 1-1 /8" form panel. The rounded-corner wedge securely tightens a 2 x 4 wedge against the plywood form panel. When used on the top bar of 6-bar forms, the WBW is a slick alternative to the Top Waler Clamp: easier to set up and strip, it also leaves the top of the forms free of obstructions for easier concrete pouring and finishing.

Steel Dog Heavy Duty Waler Brackets are formed from a single piece of high-strength steel. These brackets are built for years of abuse in the field.

Steel Dog® Scaffold Brackets have keyhole slots to attach to the hex head shoulder bolts of Steel Dog® panels or compatible 1-1/8” form panels. Each Scaffold Bracket attaches to two bolts to safely carry the load. Heavy duty, welded 1/4” steel and angle iron construction. The BP-12 Beam Pocket is built for hundreds of pours, constructed of heavy gauge steel and a painted finish. A thin, continuous flange with 6 nail holes simplifies placement and leaves a professional-looking impression in your wall. Steel Dog Resi-Ties come in two standard variations— Straight and Bent. Bent ties feature a v-notch on the inner breakback for ultra-reliable breakoff with a single hammer blow.

Pour Commercial Walls with Residential Forms
The DB Resi-Tie™, with an 1-1/2” breakback and optional waterstop, makes it possible to pour commercial-specification concrete walls with 1-1/8” form panels. The precisely crimped ends of this round wire tie fit the swing latches of standard 1-1/8” forms in the same way as standard flattened-wire ties.
Unlike some other ties, the DB Resi-Tie™ is a round wire tie, so a plastic cone is not necessary for the tie to break back to the proper depth in most circumstances. (To ensure good breakback without cone, we apply a bond-breaker wax finish around the breakback area). If needed to ensure breakback, or for finishing purposes, plastic cones are available at extra cost. Cone size is 1.25” diameter by 1.5” long. A neoprene washer waterstop is also available.

Steel Dog Outside Corners are made with 1” square tube with 1/8” wall. The 1×1 corner (also known as a “nuetral” or “zero” corner) joins fillers without adding any length to the wall. A green primer paint is applied to prevent rust buildup.

Turnbuckle brace designed specifically to attach to 1-1/8” forms
Steel Dog® TBTF Turnbuckle Braces provide a better way to align and straighten your form panels to pour a perfect foundation. A special attachment clip makes a secure connection to Steel Dog® and most other 1-1/8” panels, and a sturdy coil thread turnbuckle provides fine adjustment. An angle iron attachment nailing bar provides connection to lumber brace of your choice.
